College is a time of important growth and transition, often bringing unique challenges as young adults step into adulthood. I chose to join Texas A&M University-Kingsville because I’m passionate about supporting students through these life changes, especially when the journey feels difficult.
I earned my BA from Concordia University Texas and my MS from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Prior to my current role at TAMUK, I gained experience in mental health through internship and employment at Bayview Behavioral Hospital and further developed my understanding of higher education environments while working at Del Mar College.
When I’m not working, I enjoy watching the latest movies, playing video games, rolling dice with friends during Dungeons & Dragons sessions, singing karaoke in my car, collecting unique rocks, taking care of my cat, and exploring anime conventions. I like to bring elements of my hobbies into my therapy work, using creative and expressive techniques to connect with clients.
My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, enhanced by strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, and Narrative therapies. I work with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use, grief, identity exploration, and questions related to personal and relational well-being. If you’re looking for support or just someone to talk to, I encourage you to reach out and schedule an appointment.
