The College of Education and Human Performance (CEHP) prepares professionals for positions of responsibility and leadership in a global society. Faculty and staff are dedicated to enabling students to attain high academic, professional, and ethical standards that promote student achievement and lifelong learning. The programs prepare students to be successful in their professional careers by integrating technology, valuing diversity, and promoting authentic applications of knowledge.

Graduate Degrees

At TAMUK, the College of Education and Human Performance offers several degrees at the Masters level and two degrees at the Doctoral level (Educational Leadership and Bilingual Education). Message from the Interim Dean

Warmest Greetings! Welcome to the College of Education and Human Performance. We proudly serve as the first teacher college in South Texas, impacting public education across the world. We are committed to diverse, quality programs and transformational opportunities for our students. The College of Education and Human Performance prepares candidates for roles that include PK-12 teachers, school principals, school superintendents, professors for higher education, professional counselors, sports management professionals, military science professionals, and experts within the field of health and kinesiology. Our ROTC program develops students to serve proudly and become officers in the United States Army. Our Early Childhood Center provide our youngest learners an environment that is academically stimulating, developmentally appropriate, and learner-centered. The College of Education and Human Performance is changing lives every day in every classroom, one course, one semester, one certification, one degree at a time. It is an honor to serve as the Interim Dean of the College of Education and Human Performance. I love this university, this college, and the people who commit themselves to transforming lives through the power of education. We Teach Texas!

We Teach Texas, an initiative of The Texas A&M University System, encourages prospective students to pursue teaching careers at one of the 11 system universities, including Texas A&M-Kingsville. When South Texas State Teachers College, now Texas A&M-Kingsville, was founded in 1925, it was for the purpose of training teachers. The university continues to remain a leader in teacher education in Texas.

The Premont Alliance

A unique five-year educational alliance between the Premont Independent School District and Texas A&M University-Kingsville yields success for both sides, and is serving as a model of K-12/higher education partnerships across the country
