KINGSVILLE (October 31, 2022) — The educational leadership doctoral degree at Texas A&M University-Kingsville has been ranked in the top 50 online doctorate degrees in education in the nation by University HQ. The Ed.D degree ranked 44 out of the top 50, one of only six universities in Texas on the list. The rankings may be found at this link. https://universityhq.org/degrees/online-doctorate-education-programs/#best

“An external review and ranking such as this, reflects the quality of our educational leadership doctoral program and the efforts of the faculty,” said Dr. Nestor Sherman, Regents Professor and interim dean of the College of Education and Human Performance.

Data for the rankings were collected from government sites like nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator; collegescorecard.ed.gov; and bls.gov. In addition, information came from the private site, payscale.com.

In ranking universities, University HQ looked at information like cost of tuition, admission rate, retention rate, graduation rate, graduating salary, number of programs offered, online programs offered, loan default rate, diplomas awarded, percentage of students receiving financial aid and reputation and expert opinion.
