Texas A&M-Kingsville student auditions for Spanish language talent show

Angel Jimenez, a music major at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, was invited to audition for the Spanish language talent show on Estrella TV called Tengo Talento Mucho Talento. Her audition will be shown at 7 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, April 6, on Estrella TV. It can be viewed on Roku or the free Estrella TV app.

Jimenez said she is honored to represent Texas A&M-Kingsville on the show, but is unable to talk about any results until her episode airs.

 

“It was an amazing experience. I spent about three and a half days in Los Angeles with everything paid for by the show,” she said. “I auditioned in front of the celebrity judge panel on the second day. They filmed my biography to air along with my audition.

 

“I struggled a bit with the communication barrier considering I don’t speak Spanish, but I tried my best,” Jimenez added.

 

Jimenez is from Kingsville and is a studying choral music education and is a voice student of Dr. Kenneth Williams.
