KINGSVILLE — The Jazz Bash, Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s Jazz Program’s Annual Fall Concert extravaganza, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 in Jones Auditorium.

 

The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will feature Jazz Band III directed by Edward Moncada, adjunct professor of Band, Jazz Studies and History of Rock and Roll; Jazz Band II directed by Dr. Kyle Millsap, associate professor of Trumpet and Jazz; and Jazz Band I directed by Dr. Paul Hageman, Regents Professor and Director of School of Music and Jazz.

 

The Jazz Bash occurs each year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and has become a great way to kick off the holiday season.  This concert will be fun, exciting, relaxing and will showcase the many talented students within the university’s internationally award-winning jazz program.

 

The music performed will display a wide variety of jazz styles including swing, ballad, rock, Latin, fusion, mixed-meter, and eclectic.
