Welcome to the online home of the Javelina Card!

Your Javelina Card serves as your official University ID. If you're a student, you'll use your Javelina Card almost everyday that you're on campus. Whether it be getting into your residence hall, using the Steinke Physical Education Center (SPEC) and Student Recreation Center, campus dining and retail locations, voting in Student Government elections and University referendums, or even getting access to Javelina sporting events.

The Javelina Card provides all these benefits and more by serving as your card access to all that Texas A&M University-Kingsville has to offer. So carry your Javelina Card and enjoy the benefits of being a member of the Javelina family!

Mission

The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Identification Office strives to enhance each student's learning experience by providing a secure multi-functional identification card system for the TAMUK community.

Vision

The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Identification Office will expediently produce a secure all-inclusive card utilizing the most advanced technology available to address all present and future needs of the TAMUK community with focus on maintaining the high standards and continued growth of Texas A&M University-Kingsville

Texas A&M University-Kingsville students are all required to obtain a Javelina Express Card. Students must be registered for classes before their ID card is activated. If a student is not in the ID Card system, the Javelina Card office will verify the student's enrollment with the proper authorities. The initial card provided by the Javelina Express Card office is free of charge. If the card is lost, stolen or damaged a non-refundable replacement fee of $10 must be paid prior to receiving a new card. ID Center fees included in tuition are for service and maintenance of the Javelina Card system only, and does not cover replacement ID card costs.

Meal Plan Information

All students living in the residence halls are required to purchase a meal plan unless they are living in Martin Hall. There are several meal plans available to fit students' individual needs. Each meal plan consists of a fixed number of meals and Javelina Money. The meals are redeemable in the Javelina Dining Hall or the Turner/Bishop dining hall. Express Money is redeemable at the Aramark retail locations in the Memorial Student Union Building and the James C. Jernigan Library.

The following meal plans are available to TAMUK residents:

  • Carte Blanche-Unlimited Meals with $75
  • 14 Meals per week with $100
  • 10 Meals per week with $100
  • 10 Meals per week with $250
  • 10 Meals per week
  • Block Meal Plan with $50 - 60 or 105 Meals Per Semester * The Block Meal Plan is only available to students who are 21 or older

Faculty and Staff are all required to obtain a Javelina Express Card. To receive their ID card, they must present a Proof of Employment form from the Human Resources department located in college hall, this form is typically given to new staff members through orientation. The initial card provided by the Javelina Express Card office is free of charge. If the card is lost, stolen or damaged a non-refundable replacement fee of $10 must be paid prior to receiving a new card. Once faculty and staff members retire or are terminated the Javelina Card is deactivated upon the return of the ID card and the Human Resources Checkout form is initialed.

In order to receive a valid TAMUK ID card, verification of identity in person is required.  If you are not able to visit us during normal business hours, please contact the Javelina Card offices at https://itsupport.tamuk.edu/

Dependents

Dependents of Texas AM University-Kingsville students, faculty, and staff members are able to obtain a Dependent ID Card. Dependents include the husband, wife, son and/or daughter of a registered TAMUK member. The individual requesting an ID card must be a legal relative of a member of the Texas A&M University-Kingsville community. The individual receiving a Dependent ID card will be assigned a customer number by the Javelina Card office.

The sponsor for the Dependent ID must accompany the dependent to receive an ID card. The cost for the ID card is a non-refundable fee of $10. Dependent cards will be set to expire one (1) year after the issue date - no exceptions.  After the card has expired, there is a reactivation fee of $10.

Guests

Official guests of the university can obtain a guest ID card. Guests of the university must have written notification from and individual or department on campus that is granting them access to the campus. Individuals requesting an ID that do not have a Banner ID are assigned a customer number by the Javelina Card office.

The cost for the ID card is a non-refundable fee $10. If written notification does not indicate when the card is to expire, it will be defaulted to one (1) year from the issue date.

University Affiliates

Texas A&M University-Kingsville affiliates include: students, faculty, staff, retirees, Parents and guardians of children enrolled in the Center for Young Children (CYC), Javelina Dining employees. Individuals requesting an ID that do not have a Banner ID are assigned a customer number by the Javelina Express Card office.
