Training and Reporting Statistics


In-Person Training

Faculty, staff, and students may contact the Office of Compliance at 361-593-4761 or titleix@tamuk.edu to schedule training for their department or organization.  The training can be customizable based on your needs.  Please see the attached list for additional details and training topics:  In-Person Training Info

Self-Defense Training

The Office of Compliance partners with the University Police Department to offer free Basic Self-defense and Key-chain self-defense classes for female faculty, staff, and students.  For information on upcoming trainings, please contact the Office of Compliance at 361-593-4761 or titleix@tamuk.edu.  Individuals may also contact the University Police Department at 361-593-2611 to schedule their own training.

Required EverFi Training

Students:  All first-semester undergraduate students are required to take Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates during their first semester of enrollment.  The training should be completed before priority registration begins for the following semester or a registration hold will be placed on their account.  Students who started during a summer session will have to complete the training during the fall semester.  

Employees:  Employees will complete Title IX and Sexual Harassment and Discrimination prevention training once every two years. 

Student-Athletes and Athletic staff:  All student-athletes and athletic staff will take annual sexual violence prevention training.  Student-athletes will take Sexual Assault Prevention for Student-Athletes and athletic staff will take Harassment and Discrimination Prevention training.

A link to EverFi training can be found on jnet.tamuk.edu under the “Campus Resources” tab.  If you are a student who has completed the required training and need a registration hold lifted, please contact 361-593-4761 or tasha.clark@tamuk.edu.  Holds will be lifted during normal business hours:  Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
