Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Committee
Chaired by the Director of Compliance, and the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Membership: Faculty, staff, and students from the Divisions of Academic and Student Affairs and the Departments of Life Services and Wellness, Risk Management, Engineering and Planning,
And Physical Plant, assigned by the co-chairs.
Function: The committee will review the university facilities and furnishings for equal access to identify deficiencies to determine adjustments, funding, and maintenance planning.
Asian Heritage Awareness Committee – chair appointed from the committee membership by the Associate VP and Dean of Students.
Plan Asian awareness celebrations with emphasis on the contributions and rich culture of Asian Americans and Foreign Nationals.
Black Heritage/Awareness Celebration Committee – chair appointed from the committee membership by the Associate VP and Dean of Students.
Plan Black awareness celebrations with emphasis on the contributions and rich culture of African Americans.
Hispanic Heritage Committee – chair appointed from committee membership by the Associate VP and Dean of Students
Plan Hispanic awareness celebrations emphasizing the contributions and rich culture of Hispanics.
Women’s Enrichment and Advisory Committee- chair appointed from the committee membership by the Associate VP and Dean of Students
The committee advises the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students on the fall and spring calendar of activities on Women’s History Month, enrichment programs, the Women’s Leadership Luncheon, the Women’s Leadership Institute and other related issues.
University Community and Campus Interfaith Committee – chair for committee appointed membership by the VP for Student Affairs
The purpose of the committee is to enhance relations between campus ministries and the university.
