Internships

Our environmental engineering graduates are hired by top engineering companies. Each spring semester, our TAMUK’s Career Engagement Office hosts a Javelina Career Expo open to all students. This is a great opportunity for our students to meet employers and learn about internships and full-time job opportunities. Career Engagement offers more resources, networking, and career opportunities to students and alumni.

Professional Engineer License

Our students are encouraged to pursue a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Getting a PE license offers a wide range of benefits, especially for environmental engineers. The PE license demonstrates your expertise, ethics, and commitment to high standards. It builds trust with clients, employers, and the public. It is often required for government and consulting jobs. It allows you to sign and seal engineering documents. PE-licensed engineers typically earn more than their non-licensed peers. It boosts confidence and professional pride.
