Introducing New Faculty for the 2019-2020 Academic Year

Dr. Chen, Dr. Haces-Fernandez and Dr. Procasky Add to CBA Research

Dr. Jing Chen has a Ph.D in Marketing from University of Texas at El Paso, Master in Management from KEDGE business school, and a Master in Economics from Tongji University. Her current research interests are artificial intelligence in marketing, marketing analytics, service-sales interface, and online marketing strategies. She has working papers targeted journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, and Journal of Business Research. She has taught courses such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, and Consumer Behavior. She also received honors such as Marcus Jonathan Hunt endowment, Mike Loya in Business Administration endowment, and Loya Center for Innovation and Commerce for working on dissertation and research projects. She also received Doctoral Consortium fellowship at Academy of Marketing Science conference and Marketing Strategy Consortium fellowship at University of Missouri.

Dr. Francisco Haces-Fernandez has a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in the Sustainable Energy track from Texas A&M University Kingsville. He has a MS in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University Kingsville, a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Monterrey Tech and a BA in Law from Autonomous University of Tamaulipas. His current research interest are on supply chain management and logistics, big data analytics, Geographic Information Systems, management, optimization, characterization and assessment of renewable energy. He has a significant number of published research papers in high impact peer reviewed journals and conferences proceedings. His research on renewable energy supply chain management and logistics for oil industry applications was recently featured in Bloomberg news. He has more than twenty years of professional and industry experience and more than ten years as University Professor. His research has been awarded two times at the Texas A&M System Annual Pathways Student Research Symposium with second place in the doctoral category as well as diverse awards on the Javalina Research Symposium. Two times recipient of the All Star Award Texas A&M University Kingsville. In 2016, he was inducted to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges. In 2017 he was invited to present his research by the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi where he received the PKP Student Research Award.  In 2017 he Participated on the INFORMS Doctoral Colloquium, he received the MVP Award from the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering, Texas A&M University Kingsville (2017). He is a Fellow for the National Science Foundation (NSF) ACADEME for research and teaching in summer 2018. His research was awarded a renewable energy remote sensing imagery grant (high-resolution satellite images).

Dr. William J. Procasky has a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Texas A&M International University, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a CFA charterholder with over 20 years of industry experience in financial derivatives, commodity trading, structured finance and corporate banking. His current research interests include credit derivatives, debt capital markets, financial market efficiency and investments. He has working papers targeting journals such as the Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Derivatives and Emerging Markets Review and his work has appeared in journals such as Journal of International Money and Finance, International Journal of Portfolio Analysis of Portfolio Analysis and Management, Journal of Finance and Accounting and CFA Digest. He has also taught a wide range of Finance and Economics courses, including Investments and Portfolio Management, Principles of Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions and Money and Banking.
