Exchange Programs

Students in a reciprocal exchange program may study any of Tamuk academic programs. Exchange students are first selected and nominated to study at the Texas A&M University Kingsville by their home universities.  Once nominated, a student should first speak to the Study Abroad Advisor or International Office Exchange Coordinator at their home institution to verify the initial steps of the TAMUK application process.

The application procedures for an undergraduate student is slightly different from a graduate student.

Tamuk is located in the city of Kingsville of Texas.

  • Population: 26213 (2010 U.S. Census)
  • 35 miles southwest of Corpus Christi, Texas
  • Only 20 minutes of driving distance from the Gulf of Mexico
  • The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.

Students who are nominated by their home institution may choose to study at TAMUK for one semester (August -December or January-May), an academic year, or a calendar year depending on each agreement.

Depending on each agreement.  Most agreements allow you to take class from any departments, provided you have met the prerequisite and the class is not full.  While all classes are not guaranteed to be open, there are hundreds of classes to choose from over a wide variety of disciplines.
