Pre-assessments are the first steps in registering your child(ren) into the tutoring program and are utilized to gauge the participants understanding of the subject area tutoring is being requested for. The assessments are created by using the standards set through the Texas Higher Education Agency for each specific subject area and grade level. Results from the assessments help to select the appropriate Academic Tutor for your child(ren) and also in creating the customized lesson plans that are focused in the specific components needing improvement. Pre-Assessment take about 45 minutes and a separate assessment is required for each subject area.

Pre-assessments are included in the overall cost of the tutoring program and administered with no upfront cost to the participant. However, for individuals that choose not to continue into the tutoring program after the pre-assessment has been administered, a $25.00 fee will be charged*. This fee will also be assessed for individuals that are a no call/no show to their scheduled assessment.

*Participants are allowed one (1) reschedule at no cost. The $25.00 pre-assessment fee will be charged for any reschedules after that and will be required to be paid before the start of the assessment.   

Tutoring sessions are scheduled in (1) one or (2) two-hour blocks per subject. Lessons are only available for either a 60 minutes (1 hour), 90 minutes (1.5 hours) or 120 minutes (2 hours) sessions and a maximum of (1) one subject to be reviewed within an hour. Hours may change during Winter and Summer Sessions. Pricing

All tutoring is $20 per hour. There is a one time non-refundable registration fee of $20. In order to reserve a spot for the program, the participant's first session must be paid for in advance.
