The primary mission of the University Police Department is to serve the students, faculty, staff, and to protect them and their property from criminal acts.   The university police department is also charged with protecting university property, and to preserve the peace and maintain civil order on campus while enforcing all federal, state and local laws as well as university rules and regulations.  The university police department also provides security for all buildings on the main campus and daily patrol of the 545 acre farm.
