Anna Trevino, Academic Advisor I/BAAS Advisor
I am a graduate of Alice High School class of 1983 and a 1987 graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Journalism(now Texas State University). I have been employed in higher education for 25 years with the last 15 years here at Texas A&M University Kingsville. As a college student I worked in the office of Admissions at SWTSU and enjoyed the atmosphere and working with prospective students.
During my 15 years at TAMUK I began as an Academic Advisor In College One which eventually became University College. In
2008 I was given the opportunity to advise students in the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences when that program transitioned over to University College. I am currently Senior Academic Advisor II/BAAS advisor in the Office of Student
Success. I love working with students and ultimately take pride when I hear my students name called at graduation.
As a TAMUK employee I have been awarded Mentor of the Year in 2000 and Outstanding Staff Advisor 2003-2004.
During my spare time I enjoy doing Zumba and working around the yard and traveling. I have two stepsons BJ and Marco and
A son Chris who is a freshman at the University of Texas in Austin. I also have a step-grandson Zeke .
