The Texas A&M-Kingsville softball team was swept in a three-game series against the No. 4 team in the country, the Angelo State Rambelles.
Not only did the Rambelles sweep the Javelinas, but they kept them completely off the scoreboard over the three games.
The first three games were close with the Javelinas falling, 3-0 and 2-0.
The third game of the series was not as close as the game was called in the fifth inning with A&M-Kingsville down 8-0.
A&M-Kingsville has not pushed a run across the plate in 21 innings.
The Javelinas are now 22-29 on the season and 7-8 in the Lone Star Conference South Division.
The team will now have to rebound and finish out the regular season on the road against the Tarleton State TexAnns this upcoming weekend.
Last season, the two teams split a four-game series last season in Kingsville.
It was a close series all around as the Javelina only outscored the TexAnns by two runs, 19-17.
The Javelinas are currently holding on to the final playoff spot in the LSC South.
They are three games behind the Abilene Christian Wildcats and two games ahead of the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs.
A&M-Kingsville is currently ranked 13th in the LSC in batting with a .254 batting average.
On the pitching side of things, the Javelinas are ranked fifth in the conference with a 3.01 team ERA.
The pitching staff is lead by Courtney Rigamonti and her 2.68 ERA, good enough for 8th in the conference.
Cassie Anderson is ranked fourth in the conference in stolen bases with 30, only being caught four times.
