MY IRAQ
Lives Lost, Lessons Learned; Operation Iraqi Freedom III: It was my first semester at Texas A&M University- Kingsville and as the afternoon breeze of spring blew past me, I felt refreshed with spirit as I slowly paced across the courtyard to my dorm room in Bishop Hall. It was April 10, 2004 and as the spring semester was quickly coming to an end I was reminded that at 18 years of age I was not a student first but a soldier in the Texas Army National Guard.
