With the start of your first semester at Texas A&M University-Kingsville right around the corner, we want to make sure you're taking care of some important matters so you're fully prepared and ready to go before classes begin.
Filling out the FAFSA
One of the most important things new students need to take care of as soon as possible is the FAFSA (Free Application of Federal Student Aid). Students cannot receive any type of aid without first filling out the FAFSA. Students should include our school code (003639) on the application, as well as complete and submit the application by our institutional financial aid deadlines to ensure consideration for and receipt of the best financial aid award package available.
Financial Aid Priority Deadlines
March 15: For students graduating in the top 10 percent of their class and/or who qualify for the Texas Grant
March 31: For students planning to start classes in the fall and attend both fall and spring semesters
November 1: For students planning to start classes during a spring semester
May 1: For students planning to start classes during a summer semester.
We understand there are many students who need assistance in filling out their application, and we want to provide as much help as possible for our future Javelinas. For those who do need assistance, we have several FAFSA Outreach Workshops scheduled in February right here on the Texas A&M University-Kingsville campus for students and their families to attend--at no cost!
