Women's Enhancement Program

Women's Initiative for Nurturing Growth and Success (WINGS)

The Women's Initiative for Nurturing Growth and Success (WINGS) living community is a Residence Life program that will help women soar to greater personal and academic heights. WINGS will set a course for women to develop leadership skills, enhance self image, network with mentors, and participate in community service projects. WINGS participants will reside on campus to form a support network for empowering success.

This living community designed with women's leadership development in mind will be an outlet for emerging women's leaders on the TAMUK campus. In this community women will have the opportunity to attend sessions that will enhance their leadership abilities and self confidence. These sessions will help the women of this community to gain the necessary tools and motivation to excel in college and beyond. Women will be trained in leadership development, civic responsibility, time management, public speaking, self-esteem, overcoming gender stereotypes, career preparation, inter/intra-personal skills, self exploration, and community involvement.
