DSS provides the following technological resources: tape recorders, scanning, and enlargement of text. Students who require other technological resources should contact the DSS coordinator or staff. All requests involving equipment should be made at least four or five working days in advance.

Reading services are coordinated by the DSS counselor and are available on a limited basis to supplement other reading resources. Students are required to provide DSS with the text, a copy of the syllabus and specific instructions on how the text is to be read. Students should allow one working day for one to two page readings and four to five working days for longer readings. Cassette tapes will be provided by DSS, however, the student must return the tape prior to receiving another tape.

Students requesting reading services should also consider joining Recordings for the Blind (RFB), a lending library that provides recorded educational books and related services to persons with print impairments. The initial application requires a one time registration fee and the DSS counselor can assist with the application.
