Division of Student Affairs
Assoc. VP & Dean of Students
The Dean of Students oversees many departments within the division, including Residence Life, Student Union & Activities, Recreational Sports, Javelina Express Card, Post Office, Student Conduct, Student Government, Sodexho Food Services, and Barnes & Noble bookstore. Student Activities is also responsible for organizing Hoggie Days and New Student Orientation.
Special Programs
Special programs is comprised of several operating units dedicated to assisting the student body. Units include Upward Bound Math and Science, College Assistance Migrant Program, McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services, High School Equivalency Program, Educational Opportunity Center and Educational Talent Search.
Life Services & Wellness
Life Services & Wellness provides services for the campus including basic health care, mental health counseling, testing services, Women's Enhancement Program, and disability services.
Career Services
Career Services provides assistance to students and alumni in planning careers and securing employment including developing, evaluating, and effectively initiating and implementing career, education, and employment decisions and plans.
About the Vice President

Dr. Terisa Remelius
Vice President
for Student Affairs
Dr. Terisa Remelius has served as vice president for student affairs since July 2007. She came to Texas A&M-Kingsville from the University of South Dakota, where she served as the assistant vice president of student services and dean of students.
She also has professional experience with Saint Louis University, Greenville College (Illinois), Central Methodist College (Missouri) and the Affton and Lindbergh School Districts (Missouri). Read more about the Vice President for Student Affairs»
