The Department of English offers two undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in English with Secondary Teaching Certification. In addition, students can minor in English. Currently, we offer undergraduate classes in all periods of British and American Literature as well as special topics seminars in children’s literature, pedagogy, Shakespeare, advanced grammar, writing, and modern drama. Our goals are to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of English Literature and to build students’ critical reading, writing, and thinking skills.
