Pre-Internship Phase
During the pre-internship phase, the Graduate Alternative Certification Program (G-ACP) student interns will be required to register for graduate level coursework to prepare for a successful classroom experience. G-ACP student interns are required to complete 30 hours of classroom observations. G-ACP student interns may select a campus of their choice (school district, charter school, or private school) to complete their observations. If the G-ACP student intern needs assistance with a campus selection they may contact the G-ACP office. G-ACP student interns will be required to attend monthly professional development.
Office hours for prospective and current G-ACP students: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (by appointment). Please call (210) 932-7113 or (210) 932-6220 to schedule an appointment and leave a call back number to confirm date and time.
