Paid Summer Leadership Internship

For

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students


The TAMU-K Military Science Department and the U. S. Army are offering an all expenses paid Leader Training Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

COURSE TOPICS, BENEFITS AND OPPORTUNITIES:

- Hands-on leadership training, not available in the classroom.
- Develop self-confidence and team building skills.
- Participate in adventure training including marksmanship training, rappelling, land navigation.
- Experience the Leadership Reaction Course.
- Learn decision making processes and the importance of timely decision making.
- Excellent physical conditioning.
- All expenses paid including round trip transportation, meals, and lodging.
- Earn up to 15 credit hours.
- Earn about $700.
- All qualified participants who pass the course will be offered a 2-year (tuition, fees, and 600/yr. book allowance) scholarship and a monthly stipend ($350 for the 1st year and $400 for the 2nd year).

WHO'S ELIGIBLE?

- Students between sophomore and junior year, seniors and graduate students are welcome.
- Must have a minimum of 54 credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA (if competing for scholarship, minimum 2.5 GPA).
- No major civil convictions.
- Be between 18 and 29 years of age.
- Be physically qualified by a medical doctor (no expense to the student).
- U. S. Citizens.
- Must achieve a passing score in each event of Army Physical Fitness Test.  Events are push-ups, sit-ups and a two-mile run.
