Official Transcript Requests - Hold for Final Grades -- 2016 Summer Term(s)
Effective 8:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016: If you are a student registered for the 2016 Summer Term(s) and request an official transcript, the Office of the Registrar will hold all requests until final grades have been processed for the 2016 Summer Terms. We estimate processing of transcripts to begin Monday, August 22nd.
If circumstances require you to get a transcript prior to August 22nd, please come by the Javelina Enrollment Services Center located in the Memorial Student Union Building (room 132) or contact the Office of the Registrar at 361-593-2811.

A transcript is a comprehensive record of an individual's academic progress, including transferred courses, credit earned by exam, and degrees awarded.
Transcripts contain confidential information. In compliance with federal privacy laws, a student's signature is required to release transcripts; therefore, transcript requests cannot be accepted by telephone or e-mail. For additional information, please refer to "How to Order a Transcript".
Official transcripts include the University seal and the signature of the registrar and there is no charge. Unofficial transcripts are available for printing to students via the university's Blue and Gold Connection.
Students must clear any holds from his/her record that prevent the Office of the Registrar's from issuing an official transcript. It is the responsibility of the student to notify the Office of the Registrar (361-593-2811) when holds have been cleared.
All requests MUST be signed by the student to authorize the release of their academic transcript to the recipient. Transcript requests received without the student's signature will remain unprocessed until the signature is received.
The normal processing time is 3 to 5 business days from the date of when the request is received, excluding delivery. Please check after 24 hours if picking up transcript from the Javelina Enrollment Services Center (Memorial Student Union Building). However, you may experience delays during peak periods, such as registration and at the end of the semester. No transcript will be released if there are outstanding obligations to the University.
Electronic Transcript Transmission
Transcripts will be sent electronically to colleges or universities that are members of the Speede network and capable of receiving electronic transcripts. Transcripts usually are received within 72 hours of the transmission. Please note: The electronic transcript data (including the full social security number) is encrypted before its submission to the secure Speede server. The same data is also encrypted upon transmission from the Speede server to the recipient school.
Third Party Orders
You may authorize a third party to order or pick up your official transcript. The authorized person must provide:
1. A letter addressed to Texas A&M University-Kingsville that includes:
the date of the request, your full name, your student identification number, your signature, your dates of attendance, the full name of the person authorized to complete the transaction, the number of transcripts requested, and instructions on what to do with the transcript(s) once the order is processed
2. A photo ID that identifies the third party as the person named in the letter of authorization
Letters of authorization may be brought to the office by the authorized party or be faxed in advance.
