Initial contact with Texas A&M University-Kingsville often occurs through printed or electronic materials such as the official university website, letters, brochures, and advertising. These first impressions are crucial because they form the basis for opinions and attitudes that underlie subsequent actions and decisions. For these reasons, it is important that Texas A&M-Kingsville’s visual materials project a clear, consistent, and easily remembered image; one that reflects the character and quality of the institution.

An institution benefits in many ways from a strong visual identity system. It unifies and strengthens all facets of the university, projecting an image of excellence and cohesiveness. The university’s logo projects our name and affiliation while retaining all ties to the university’s history and traditions.

All colleges, departments, divisions, institutes, centers, etc. recognized as official units of Texas A&M University-Kingsville and agencies or vendors who produce work for these units must adhere to these guidelines for use of the logo and other approved graphic elements. Identifying logos, marks, and indicia developed and used by various units in the past are subject to review and modification. Such use is not permitted in conjunction with the university logo.

Responsibility for interpreting and implementing these guidelines has been assigned to the Office of Marketing and Communications, MSC 114, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Kingsville TX 78363, telephone (361) 593-3901. These guidelines invalidate and prohibit use of earlier university logos and other graphic symbols.

Twenty-Eight Faculty Receive System Teaching Excellence Awards

Twenty-eight faculty members at Texas A&M University-Kingsville have been presented with the Texas A&M University System Teaching Excellence Award, a honor initiated by Chancellor Michael D. McKinney in 2008 to honor and financially reward the system's top teachers as selected by students.

Students Honored on President's List, Dean's List, Honor Roll

Texas A&M University-Kingsville has released the names of the students who made the President's List, Dean's List and Honor Roll for the fall 2009 semester. In order to qualify for the prestigious President's List, a student must be enrolled in at least 15 semester hours and have a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

Enrollment Numbers Remain High During Spring Semester

Enrollment numbers at Texas A&M University-Kingsville continue to look up as the number of students attending rose over six percent from spring 2009 to the current semester, spring 2010.
