A Report to Our Community
On Nov. 16, President Rumaldo Z. Juárez presented the university’s first-ever “Report to Our Community,” discussing the university’s contributions and ties to Kingsville, Kleberg County and the surrounding region. The university plans to make the Report to Our Community an annual event to show its appreciation for the support Texas A&M University-Kingsville receives from the people of our region.
About the interim President

Robert H. Strawser,
President
Bob Strawser became interim president July 1, 2008. Most recently, he has been a professor of accounting in the Mays School of Business Administration at Texas A&M University, where he is the holder of the Anderson Chair.
His honors include being named a Texas A&M System Regents Professor in 2000 and being the only person elected to two terms as Speaker of the Faculty Senate at Texas A&M University. He was recognized as the second-leading active author among both U.S. and international academics in McGraw-Hill’s Accounting Literature Index in 1990 and in the Accounting Educators’ Journal in 1993.
