Texas A&M University-Kingsville Flute Society Prepares To Jam During 2ND Annual Rock Show Fundraiser, October 25

Come and rock out with the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Flute Society, music students and Austin-based rock band Distant Lights, during the society’s 2nd

Annual Rock Show Fundraiser at 9 p.m., Monday, October 25 at the Frank C. Smith Recital Hall in the Bellamah Music Building at A&M-Kingsville.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Flute Society or at the main office of the Bellamah Music Building. Proceeds will benefit the Flute Society and go toward the purchase of a new bass flute for the flute choir.

Student auditioned earlier this month for the opportunity to perform the rock song of their choice with Distant Lights. Students performing include David Montoya, Vanessa Valdez, Lee Ramierez, Auriel Coggsdale, Daniel Guerrero, Chris Arellano, Joanna Lara and Frank Cano, and Eric Soto. Songs to be performed include hits from bands Tool, Evanescence, Dream Theater and more.

The performance will have a Halloween theme and the audience is encouraged to attend decked out in their Halloween costumes
