ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
KINGSVILLE (Sept. 16, 1998) -- The Actor's Nightmare, a dark comedy by Christopher Durang, offers something for everyone at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 2 and Oct. 4.

The play introduces George Spelvin, an accountant who finds himself on the wrong side of the stage as the leading man in a series of plays he never has rehearsed for. The action starts with a pseudo-rendition of a Noel Coward script, stumbles through Hamlet and an absurd Samuel Beckett-style production and concludes with a very real version of Sir Thomas More, a man for all seasons.

The assistant director, John Aguilar, a senior art major from Brownsville, performed in the campus productions of Sorority Sisters from Hell, the children's play Aladdin, and worked on lighting and props.
The character George is played by Michael J. Rogers, a freshman chemical engineering major from Corpus Christi. Rogers was active in high school theater and was last seen in Del Mar's production of Macbeth.
Michelle Perez, a senior psychology major from Huntsville, Alabama, plays Sarah Siddons. She was last seen in Sorority Sisters from Hell, Confessions of Women from East LA, and Lovers and Other Strangers.
The character Ellen Terry is played by Fontaine Gonzalez, a sophomore accounting major from Benavides. She made her stage debut in Confessions of Women from East LA.
Michael Novak, a junior theatre arts major from San Antonio, plays Henry Irving. Novak appeared in Henry IV Part 1 and Charley's Aunt.
Carolyn Fees, a senior fine arts major from Kingsville, previously appeared in Top Girls and Henry IV Part 1. She plays the character Meg.
