FOR CARLOS MENCIA SHOW

KINGSVILLE (Oct. 6, 1998) -- Tickets are now on sale for the live performance of comedian Carlos Mencia at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Monday, Oct. 19, at Jones Auditorium. The laughs get underway at 8 p.m.

They may be purchased at the student services office on the third floor of the Student Union Building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults. Students with identification are admitted free.

This is Mencia's second visit to Texas A&M-Kingsville in less than a year. He sold out his first appearance in March.

Mencia was born in Honduras, but moved to East Los Angeles with his family when he was an infant. While studying electrical engineering at Cal State Los Angeles, he made his first amateur appearance as a comedian at The Laugh Factory. A short time later, he became a regular at The Comedy Store.
