SCHOOL DISTRICTS INVITED TO MEET TAMUK

EDUCATION MAJORS AT CAREER FAIR

KINGSVILLE (Oct. 30, 1998) -- Nearly 40 school districts and education service centers from across Texas have signed up for booths at the fall education career fair at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Wednesday, Nov. 11. Education majors can meet with prospective employers from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Building ballrooms.

This is the first time an education career fair is being held in the fall. "We have always had our big education career fair in the spring and included school districts with our fall career fair in October," said Susan Dollar, director of career services. "However, we were getting such good response, we decided to separate the education majors in the fall also."

Dollar said seniors who are currently student teaching down to the freshmen are encouraged to attend. "We would like to see all education majors attend the fair. Former students are also invited," she said. "Dress up, bring your resumes and come prepared to interview with prospective employers."

Seniors are also encouraged to register with Career Services at http://csc.tamuk.edu.
