The Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences hosted Ag Week at the College twice in June. The three-day crash course about work being done by the college and its students is funded by a Hispanic Serving Institution grant. Students who attend learn about applying for college and financial aid as well as about the specific career paths that can be attained with a degree from the College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences. Shown is Dr. Greta Schuster, associate professor in the department of agriculture, agribusiness and environmental sciences, left, who works with Skye Johnson, a high school junior from Harlingen, right. Schuster demonstrated one method to catch and collect insects by sweeping with a canvas net through the grass. They then transfer the insects to a jar for later study.
