Javelina Band Alumni Day
Saturday, Sept. 3 offers food, fellowship and performance opportunites

KINGSVILLE (August 26, 2005) — Former Javelina Band members will gather at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Saturday, Sept. 3, for the activities and music of Alumni Day.

Participants will register at the Bellamah Music Building from 2-3 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or $20 per family. Registrants will receive a T-shirt commemorating the day, a barbecue plate and ticket to the Javelina football game at 7 p.m.

Band alumni will rehearse at 3 p.m. for a pre-game performance at 6:30 p.m. At

3:30 p.m., a reception will be held honoring the three newest inductees into the Javelina Band Hall of Fame – Gerald Babbitt, Rolando Molina and Arturo Valdez III. An alumni barbecue will be held outside of the music building at 4:30 p.m. The Javelina football team will play Northeastern State University at 7 p.m., with a formal presentation to be held at halftime for the new members of the Hall of Fame.
