KINGSVILLE (November 12, 2003) — Eight Javelina men will be competing for the title of Mr. Texas A&M University-Kingsville of 2003-2004 during the contest beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Jones Auditorium. There is no cost to watch the competition. This is only the fourth year judges will choose a Mr. A&M-Kingsville. There has been a Miss Texas A&M University-Kingsville selected for many years. The office of the Student Union and Student Activities sponsors the contest. As a special guest this year, comedian Sean Kent will perform during the competition. He was last seen on NBCs Last Comic Standing. He was also on NBCs Friday Night Videos, E! Entertainment Television and the feature film, Nautilus. Kent has also written for the CBS sitcom, Yes Dear and the special World’s Greatest Super Bowl Commercials. He is a favorite at comedy clubs appearing in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. The contestants: Matthew Saenz, a junior from Devine, is majoring in marketing with
a minor in management. David Foor is a junior electrical engineering major from Kingsville. Gabriel Ruiz is a junior from San Antonio. His major is theatre arts
