About the Vice President


Dr. Tom Saban

Dr. Thomas D. Saban joined the university administration in time for the Fall 2007 semester. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Education: Higher Education from Barry University in Florida. He earned an MBA from the University of Miami and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming.

In addition, he completed post-graduate work at Cleveland State University and hold’s a post-master’s certificate from the University of Florida. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining the administration at Texas A&M-Kingsville, he served as Associate Vice President for Planning, Budgets and Research at St. Petersburg College in Florida, where he worked since 2002. From 1996 to 2002, he was Vice President for Administration and Finance at Worcester State College in Massachusetts. He served in a similar role for six years at Chadron State College in Nebraska.
