Student Loans
There are various forms of Financial Aid Loans at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. These forms of financial aid are available to any people who qualify. In order to qualify, the student must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Click on the links below to view the different types of loans.
Stafford loans are for undergraduate and graduate students. You must be enrolled as at least a half-time student to be eligible for a Stafford loan. Please be aware that first-year, first-time borrowers must wait thirty days from the beginning of the semester for first disbursement. There are two types of Stafford loans: Subsidized and Unsubsidized.
Federal Parent Loan (PLUS) is available to the parents of dependent, undergraduate students. Students must be enrolled as at least a half-time student to be eligible. Parents must have a good credit history.

This loan is available to both undergraduate and graduate students with exceptional financial need. Repayment begins nine months after leaving school. You must be enrolled as at least a half-time student to be eligible for a Perkins loan.
