TAMUK Loans
In addition to long-term, government-sponsored loans, the Office of Student Financial Aid also administers short-term loans known as ‘Institutional Loans’ for TAMUK students in need of emergency aid. They are known as:
Emergency Loans - are a temporary loan that must be paid to the university within a given amount of time. This type of Loan is only given out if the student has not received a disbursement check. If the student received a disbursement an emergency loans will not be given out.
Types of Emergency Loans:
Book Emergency Loan:
The amount ranges from $50 to $200, $200 is the maximum amount we are allowed to disburse to the students. The Emergency Loan will be taken out of your disbursement check, when it comes in.
Tuition Emergency Loan:
Will cover the cost of Tuition and will be taken out of the disbursement check, when it comes in.
