Employees must have six months' continuous employment with the State before they are eligible to take vacation leave. If termination occurs before six months' service is completed, this benefit is forfeited. (TAMUK procedures 33.03.01K1.01)
Vacation leave which has been accrued in a previous position, may not be taken during a period of employment in a position where no vacation leave accrues, but the employee shall retain such credit and may be paid for it upon resignation, dismissal or separation from State employment if there has been six months' continuous employment with the State.
* Excess hours will be converted to sick leave.
