Miss TAMUK 2013 Scholarship Pageant

Eleven students at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will take the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Jones Auditorium as they vie to become Miss TAMUK 2013. This year’s theme is Masquerade.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The winner of the pageant, will reign as Miss TAMUK for a year and receive a $2,000 scholarship. The first runner-up receives a $1,200 scholarship and the second runner-up receives a $750 scholarship.

Candidates include:

  • Alyssa D. Riviera, a junior psychology and sociology major from Freer
  • Chelsea Nkrumah, a sophomore history and political science major from Grand Prairie
  • Georgia M. Dunn, a freshman agricultural science major from Floresville
  • Isabella Figueroa, a junior biomedical science major from Edinburg
  • Jo-Ana Medrano, a junior bilingual education major from Weslaco
  • Kaylyn Villarreal, a sophomore kinesiology major from Laguna Vista
  • Kassandra Canales, a senior communication science and disorders major from Santa Rosa
  • Lauren D. Balderas, a junior biomedical science major from Boerne
  • Lauren S. Lomas-Bunch, a freshman marketing major from Kingsville
  • Mona-elo V. Martinez, a sophomore human nutrition major from Weslaco
  • Ruby Navarro, a junior animal science major from Harlingen
