The Texas A&M University-Kingsville bands present their second concert of the semester at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 in Jones Auditorium.  The concert is free and open to the public.  
The concert features the Concert Band and University Band.  University Band, under the direction of Brian Shelton, will present music Through the Ages, music from the Renaissance through the 20th century including J.S. Bach's Sleepers, Awake and a dramatic new setting of the Gettysburg Address, A New Birth of Freedom, narrated by A&M-Kingsville music student Edelmiro Cavazos.  The Concert Band, directed by Jason Kihle, will present a diverse program of 20th and 21st century classics: A Movement for Rosa by Mark Camphouse (dedicated to Rosa Parks), Shepherd's Hey by Percy Grainger, Toccata Marziale by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Ride by Samuel Hazo.
