It’s beginning to look a lot like the holiday season at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and the community is invited to help celebrate during the university’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 27th outside College Hall on the campus of A&M-Kingsville. The event is free to the public and will include refreshments and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

This year, more than 18,020 LED lights will decorate the campus. In an effort to promote sustainability and an earth-friendly environment, each LED bulb operates at .96 watts versus prior 5 watt incandescent bulbs.

The celebration continues with the 7th Annual Holiday Concert featuring ensembles from the Department of Music at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 29th in Jones Auditorium on the corner of Armstrong and Santa Gertrudis on the university campus. Admission is free to the public. Toys for Tots will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at the event.
