Texas A&M University-Kingsville students will present their original research during the Women and Gender Studies Symposium, 1 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 26 on the 2nd floor of the Javelina Dining Hall.

Subjects to be covered include feminist movements, women in careers and gender roles in society. Corpus Christi artist and former state representative Arnold Gonzalez will be the keynote speaker at the event. Gonzalez will discuss his university mural project that depicts South Texas women throughout history.

Refreshments will be provided.
