South Texas GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Manufacturing and Science) Camp is an exciting opportunity for area high school girls to develop math, science and engineering concepts by participating in hands-on engineering projects and technical activities. The camp will be held on the TAMUK campus from July 16-20, 2012. We are still accepting applications for standby participants please call Tamara D.Guillen at (361)593-4857 for any questions.

The South Texas GEMS Summer Camp is an intensive, one-week, day camp that will target young females between the ages 14 and 21.

The South Texas GEMS Summer Camp will provide scholarships to young girls between the ages of 14 and 21 to participate in hands-on scholarly and research activities at the college level. The key purpose behind this camp is to provide them with an opportunity to become familiar with the various science, technology, engineering and mathematic (STEM) fields available at TAMUK.
