Dr. Wei-Da Hao, Associate Professor of Computer Science
Dr. Wei-Da Hao received his B.S. in Agricultural Machinery Engineering, from Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1985, M.S. in Applied Mathematics – Computer Science Section from Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan in 1990 and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Portland State University, USA in 1997 respectively. He was a lecturer of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Texas A&M University - Kingsville, 2004-2007. He has been with Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, since 2007. He was appointed as summer research faculty in US Air Force Research Laboratory in 2012.
Teaching: He received the awards from : 2010 Quality Enhancement Program at TAMUK and 2012, 2013 Service Learning/Civic Engagement Program at TAMUK.
Research and Scholarship: He is the author of more than 30 technical papers and presentations in video game design, graph algorithm, cloud computing, visualization and instrumentation/measurement. Dr. Hao is a Member of IEEE. He has been Senior Personnel of an NSF grant to set up High Performance Computing Center in South Texas. His career goal is to solve significant problems in industry and STEM education.
Research Interest: Cloud Computing, Parallel Computing, Theory of Computation.
