OVERVIEW

The University’s Crisis Management Plan (Plan) is the result of the efforts of the Crisis Management Team. The Team was appointed by the President's Office to examine the emergency preparedness on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

The goals of the Team are as follows:

To coordinate the university's response to critical incidents involving students while paying special attention to the safety and security needs of all members of the university community;

To offer counseling, guidance, and appropriate support to members of the university community and their families;

To use critical incidents, when appropriate, as teachable experiences to enhance the quality of life for all those touched by a critical incident.

The Team will make every effort to accomplish these goals when dealing with a critical incident situation on campus.
