Mission: The mission of the Emotional Intelligence Research Initiative is to provide a forum for educators, researchers, practitioners, and leaders to share research and practical applications of emotional intelligence in primary/secondary, higher education, and organizational settings.

History: The Emotional Intelligence Research Initiative was established on the beautiful campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2002. The first conference was convened in February 2004 and has grown in attendance and scope during each successive year.
