Regents Name Interim President
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents on Friday named Dr. Robert H. Strawser as interim president of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Dr. Strawser, an accounting professor since 1973 at Texas A&M University, replaces Dr. Rumaldo Z. Juárez, who retires in June after almost six years as president of Texas A&M-Kingsville. Read more»
Texas A&M University-Kingsville College Named for Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg
University honors Caesar Kleberg Foundation for support
The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents approved a new identity for Texas A&M-Kingsville’s College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences today (May 23), approving the university’s request to name the college in honor of the late Richard M. “Dick” Kleberg Jr. and his wife, Mary Lewis Kleberg, who resides in South Texas with homes in Kingsville and San Antonio. Texas A&M System Announces Major Projects in San Antonio
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Development plans for the future Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus on the Alamo City’s Southside should be ready for review by August, with groundbreaking slated as early as mid-2009, according to a special update presented to The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents at its regular bimonthly meeting Thursday. University Begins Summer Hours
The university will implement a 4½-day summer workweek beginning Monday, May 19, and continuing through Friday, August 15. Working hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday only. Saturday and evening classes will meet as scheduled.
