The Center for Teaching Effectiveness also organizes workshops and panel discussions on topics such as Service Learning, Assessment and Plagiarism. Check here periodically for dates and topics.

In collaboration with Kleberg Bank, the CTE sponsors a retreat and cook out for new faculty and their mentors. Visitors to the historic King Ranch enjoy a traditional cowboy meal and an optional game-viewing drive.

Campus Road Rally 2003

As an extension of Fun Fridays, the CTE sponsored a Campus Road Rally in November 2002 and 2003. Teams of four to five (faculty and staff) followed clues to take them from outside the President's home to the final destination for a cook-out. They traveled in cars, on foot, on scooters, in buggies and on motorbikes. Prizes were distributed to the three top teams who arrived first at the finish line.
