Cooperative Education Program

Is your Company Interested in Setting Up an Internship or Cooperative Education Program?

Students who have completed over 30 hours are encouraged to consider the Co-op/Internship program. These program provides students with an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on-experience in their major field while being paid, and often while earning academic credit. Internships are generally available in the summer. Co-op work terms often rotate a long semester of school with a long semester of work, and may require two or three work terms with the same corporation. These programs have the advantage of providing a chance to gain real work experience while being paid an entry-level salary. Students who have co-op or intern experience are considered more viable candidates for full-time jobs by most employers.
