We receive calls every day from employers all over the country requesting our student resumes. If your information is in our database, it is instantly accessible to employers worldwide who call for resumes. With the computerized database, it is a matter of minutes to provide information to prospective employers. Employers world-wide can also register with Career Services and gain access to our resume database through the Internet. Your resume will be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If an employer is interested in talking with you, he/she will get in touch directly with you or will call our office and have us contact you. Please note that we do not release your information to third-party recruiting firms unless we are given the actual employer name and job location or we receive specific written permission from you authorizing us to release your information to a search firm. Due to limited resources and staff, we cannot contact you each time there is a job opening in your field. It is your responsibility to check our web site and stay on top of what is available. You can also request that we send your file via fax to an employer. There is no fax charge. All resumes that are faxed at student request must have an accompanying cover letter. We currently do not have the capacity to keep copies of reference letters or other credentials. If an employer requests an official transcript, it is your responsibility to bring one to the office. Also, we no longer accept paper files or disk registration. We will keep your file in the database in an active status as long as you update your information. If you are no longer seeking employment we will switch your file to an inactive status. If you forget your PIN number, call our office and we can obtain it for you. |
