Peacock Auditorium
Peacock Auditorium, named for former professor and dean Dr. J. Talmer Peacock, underwent a complete renovation in Summer 2008. The auditorium’s new look was unveiled in February 2009 as part of the inauguration of President Steven H. Tallant. It boasts the latest multimedia technology for use in lectures and special events.
Peacock Auditorium is located in the Biology-Earth Sciences Building, and two other rooms were renovated along with the auditorium. A feasibility study is underway to renovate the entire 40,000 square foot building at an estimated cost of $4.5 million. Initial plans include enlarging the elevator, improving technology throughout the building and making changes for ADA compliance.
